Apothecary’s Chicken

15 Mar

As I stood in my kitchen with 4 pieces of chicken in front of me, ready to cook tonight’s dinner, I felt the need for innovation! Here is the recipe I cam up with. Everyone at the table enjoyed the flavors immensely. We hope you do too! Let us know if you try this recipe and what you think of it!

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp Horseradish
  • 2 TBS Lime Juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • 1 tsp bulk Eyebrow Tea (rubbed into a powder)
  • 1 TBS olive oil

Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Lay chicken into a heavy chef pan. Combine horseradish, lime juice, minced garlic in a small bowl then pour over each piece of chicken. Sprinkle onto each piece the salt, pepper, tea and oil separately. Place a cover on the pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

I have no idea what eyebrow tea is. Where do you buy it. I must say the combo of line and horseradish is new to me.

Hi Eveh, I bought the tea at the bulk tea stand at my local Co-Op. It is a Chinese green tea. Quoted from Tea Source “Chun Mee Eyebrow Tea is the most popular of the Chinese green tea. Its well-formed, tender, curved leaves yield a full-flavored, sweet tasting infusion.” The Co-Op buys the tea from here

The lime and horseradish was a new combo for me too but it actually sits great together. Definitely a mouthful of flavors!
